I started to have skin rashes, uncomfortable breakouts about 7 years ago.
I lived in several states, Cleveland OH, Cambridge MA and New Hampshire during this time and went to dermatologists in all of those states.
None of the dermatologists was able to diagnose my symptoms. They did not tell me what it was, just told me it will go away, use hydrocortisone.
No diagnosis, no explanation.
The hydrocortisone helped a little at first then not at all.
I really tried everything, for example 40% Zinc Oxide always made a difference by eliminating the itching.
Last year my skin rash became so uncomfortable that after we moved back to Philadelphia, I went back to my old dermatologist’s office whom I used to see 20 years ago. His associate tried stronger and stronger steroid creams, but it just made things worse for me.
Eventually they took a biopsy and the diagnosis was- GROVER’s DISEASE.
I AM AMAZED THAT NONE OF THE DOCTORS FROM CLEVELAND CLINIC, HARVARD ASSOCIATED DERMATOLOGISTS, ETC. HAD THE IDEA TO TAKE A BIOPSY AND TELL ME WHAT WAS CAUSING MY SYMPTOMS ,WHAT WAS MY DISEASE.
